HVALA 2 Youth Work
Erasmus+ project “Healthy Volunteering And Local Activism 2 Youth Work – HVALA 2 YW” was held from 5 to 11 July 2026 in Brzeće and Kruševac, Serbia. The training course brought together 32 participants from 10 European countries: Estonia, Latvia, Germany, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Greece and Serbia. Through non-formal education, practical workshops, teamwork, outdoor learning and international exchange, participants strengthened their competences for supporting and empowering young people in their everyday youth work.

Together, we explored how volunteering, healthy lifestyles, mental health and wellbeing, local activism and inclusion can become practical tools for building stronger, more supportive and resilient communities.
The programme included the exchange of good practices, volunteer management, youth needs assessment, peer support, reflection and self-care, digital storytelling, facilitation methods and the development of practical youth work sessions. Participants also experienced outdoor learning through hiking and visited Kruševac, the Red Cross of Kruševac, the City Hall and the National Museum.
Throughout the mobility, participants did not simply learn new methods—they tested them, reflected on them and adapted them to the realities of their organisations and local communities.
The knowledge, methods and ideas created during the training will become part of the final HVALA 2 Youth Work Booklet/Toolbox, while partner organisations will continue the project through local workshops and follow-up activities across Europe.

These photo collages capture only a small part of the learning, energy, solidarity, challenges, intercultural exchange and friendships that made this mobility truly special. ❤️
The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme. The National Agency responsible for the Erasmus+ Programme in Serbia is the Tempus Foundation.
