Hosting a School Group from Poland
We had an unforgettable week hosting the school group from Poland, filled with school visits, cultural exploration, and meaningful exchanges! From visiting High School Gimnasium Josip Broz Tito to discovering the Macedonian rich heritage, each day was packed with learning, adventure, and connection.
Day 1
We started with a visit to High School Gimnasium Josip Broz Tito, where students engaged in insightful exchanges and learned about the Macedonian education system.
Day 2
Our Polish guests explored the rich cultural and religious heritage of Tetovo, discovering the beauty of this diverse city.
Day 3
On the third day of our project with School Marija Sklodovska from Poland, we explored the beautiful city of Ohrid! The students had the opportunity to experience Macedonia’s rich cultural and religious heritage. We visited the iconic Church of Kaneo, the historic Church of Pantelejmon, and the entire Plaoshnik Archaeological Complex.
For lunch, we enjoyed the delicious Macedonian Kebapi! During our walk, we had a short quiz about Ohrid and its fascinating history and facts. It was a fun and educational way to learn more about this incredible city!
Afterwards, we continued our stroll along the stunning Ohrid Riviera. On our way back, as any true Macedonian traveler would, we made a stop to taste the famous Mekici from Straza.
It was truly an amazing day for our group!
Day 4
On the 4th day of our project with the group from Marija Sklodowska School in Kluczbork, we had an amazing day exploring the cultural and historical treasures of Tearce!
We started our day at the beautiful Monastery of Lesok, where the monk shared fascinating stories about the history of the monastery and the renowned Macedonian writer Kiril PejΔinoviΔ. It was a unique opportunity to sit and enjoy the serene nature surrounding the monastery.
Afterwards, we visited the traditional dance association KUD Kiril PejΔinoviΔ, where we got to see stunning examples of Macedonian traditional clothes and enjoy a taste of the rich folklore and cultural heritage of the region!
Our journey continued with a visit to the NGO Center for Education and Development (CED), where we met the president, Metin Muaremi, who talked about the positive impact of CED on the local community and the opportunities it provides to young people in Tearce and the Polog region.
It was a day full of culture, learning, and meaningful connections!
Day 5
Friday was all about school activities, informal learning, and exchanging knowledge!
Students from Marija Sklodowska School teamed up with the students from Josip Broz Tito Gymnasium in Skopje for a day filled with fun and learning!
The Macedonian students prepared some energizing games to kick off the day and taught their Polish friends a few Macedonian words and phrases! They also introduced them to traditional Macedonian games and led engaging team-building activities to strengthen friendships and collaboration.
It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn from each other, and build lasting memories!
Day 6
Working hard even on a Saturday! Today, we mixed learning with adventure!
We started with a quiz and an exciting treasure hunt in Tetovo! Our students had to go out and explore the city, interact with locals , and find hidden clues to complete their challenges. It was an awesome way to practice communication skills, learn more about Tetovo , and dive into its vibrant culture!
Day 7
π Sunday is all about relaxation and connecting with nature! π²β¨
Today, we took a break and headed to the stunning Ski Resort Popova Shapka β·οΈ, nestled in the heart of Shar Mountain National Park ποΈ. We soaked in the breathtaking views, enjoyed the fresh mountain air, and admired the gorgeous colors of autumn ππβa perfect escape into natureβs beauty! π
After our adventure, we treated ourselves to some well-deserved relaxation time at the Spa Center and Pool of Hotel Tetex Arena πββοΈπ§ββοΈ. It was the perfect way to unwind and recharge for the week ahead! πββοΈβ¨
Day 8
