“Awake, Aware & Active: unveiling the leader within,”

Our youth exchange project, “Awake, Aware & Active: unveiling the leader within,” took place in the village of Drugan, Bulgaria in August 2021. During 8 days together young people from Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Kenya, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Germany, Colombia and Tunisia participated in a deep experiential learning process, and reflected on their relationship to the world and their ability to affect change in their communities. The project introduced participants to a variety of mindfulness practices, and developed their leadership skills so they can act as change makers in their communities. It featured many interactive activities, workshops led by the participants, Change-makers Challenge, and an International Talent Show in the town of Radomir with over 100 local people present. The project was organized by Foundation “SolidarityWorks” (Bulgaria) with the support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
